Ximena Alba @ European Cultural Days "Murcia: In Europe's Garden" on September 1, 2021

On September 1, 2021 Ximena Alba Villalever will take part in a roundtable about migrant workers in the agricultural industry - an event organized by the Museum Europäischer Kulturen in the realm of the 17th European Cultural Days and the exhibition "Murcia: In Europe's Garden". The exhibition and the numerous related events take place from August 6, 2021 to February 27, 2022 and focus on the region in south east Spain, its cultural history, its food and music, its religion and the role of migration.
Together with Dr. Sarah Meier (Stiftung SPI), Prof. Dr. Andrés Pedreño Cánovas (Universidad de Murcia) and José Ibarra Bastida (Comisiones Obreras), Ximena Alba Villalever will discuss the living and working conditions of migrants working in the agricultural industry and how this is connectued to the consumers of produce grown in the "garden of Europe" in other european countries.
The event will be held in Spanish and German, simoultaneous translation wil be provided.
