Our interdisciplinary and international team consists of researchers from Freie Universität Berlin and Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The team members based at the Latin American Institute of the Freie Universität Berlin work mainly about Mexico as a transit country whereas the team members of the Faculty of Social Science of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum focus on Turkey.

Both at the universities of the joint project and at our cooperating institutions, we are collaborating with other researchers who are currently working on research topics on forced migration and organized violence in transit countries like Mexico and Turkey.
