Originally, three field research visits each were planned for Mexico and Turkey. Due tue the Covid-19 pandemic starting in march 2020 the qualitative field research could not be conducted throughout the entire duration of the project. Generally, the project coordinators are in charge of the data collection and they work closely with colaborating researchers from local institutions. Our partners in Mexico and Turkey made it possible to conduct the quantitative part of the field work almost as planned despite of the changed circumstances.

The main activities during the field work are the following.

• Qualitative field work, e.g. conduction of qualitative interviews and ethnographic visits
• Elaboration of quantitative questionnaire/pretest
• Training of interviewers
• Conduction of quantitative interviews
